Hi, I’m Macie. I’m currently studying chiropractic at university, where I’m developing my knowledge and skills in health, wellbeing, and patient care.
Alongside my studies, I stay actively involved in the workplace. During university breaks, I work shifts at PFG, where I manage reception duties and support members and customers with any queries or needs.

I also enjoy training at PFG myself, which complements both my studies and my interest in health and fitness. Being part of the gym environment not only allows me to continue developing personally, but also helps me better support and relate to the members I assist.

I have trained at PFG since 2022 and became a key supervisor in 2023, which helped me build confidence and pursue personal training. My passion for fitness began when I joined the powerlifting club, dedicating my summer to training with Del. Since then, I have continued powerlifting and am now working towards competing at ABS Powerlifting and the British Nationals.

With over seven years of customer service experience and voluntary work in local sports, I have developed strong skills and rapport with members. My primary goal is to promote strength training and help others improve their lives through fitness. I welcome members who show enthusiasm for their chosen sports and am committed to supporting their progress.

I always enjoy working at the gym and focus on keeping high standards by making sure machines are clean and are in perfect working order. It’s always great working with my peers as we all have a part to take, to make the gym the best it can be for members to enjoy.

I’ve been part of PFG since I was 14, and it didn’t take long for me to find a real passion for training — especially powerlifting. Over the years, I’ve competed in multiple competitions, including the British Championships in Wales. Competing has not only pushed me physically but also helped me build huge confidence in myself and in working with others.

That passion led me to qualify as a Personal Trainer in 2025, so I could expand my knowledge and help others achieve their goals in the same way training has helped me. I’m also currently training in Sports Massage and will soon be fully qualified, allowing me to support clients with both performance and recovery.

I’m hardworking, reliable, and motivated, and I really value being part of a strong team environment. With a background in customer service, I understand the importance of listening, communicating clearly, and creating a positive experience for every client I work with.

My name is Leighanne, and I am a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer with over 10 years of training experience at Performance Fitness. In addition to my coaching role, I have also worked at PFG for a year managing reception and gym duties. This role involved supporting members and customers daily, handling front-of-house responsibilities, and ensuring the gym environment ran smoothly and professionally.

Alongside my coaching career, I have been competing in powerlifting for the past 9 years. During this time, I have achieved significant success within the sport. I currently hold British and European records across four weight classes in both the Open and Masters categories. These records reflect my dedication, discipline, and deep understanding of strength training principles.

With extensive hands-on experience both on the gym floor and in competition, I specialise in strength development, performance-based training, and helping individuals of all levels build confidence, power, and long-term results.
